Why is there a double standard in sunni belief? - Part 3

At least one person that was involved in the killing of Uthman was a companion. His name is Abdulrahman ibn Udais al-balawi. He was one of the companions who gave the allegiance under the tree.

The hadith below says .."Abdulrahman bin Udais al-balawi came forward and he was one of those who gave his allegiance (to the prophet) under the tree…"

In another hadith, we read "..Ibn luhaiqa said Abdulrahman bin Udais al-balawi went with the people of Egypt to Uthman and they killed him…." "…I said: I heard that al-dhahabi said that Abdulrahman al-balawi is the fountainhead of Fitnah (civil unrest) and it is not permissible to relate any hadith from him.
