Albaqyr (a prominent ShiaChat member) wrote (edited to remove banned materials; I am sorry for any imperfections. No insults intended):
This is a topic in reply to all those Salafies/Wahabies and their scholars who made takfeer on Shia just because they hold a negative view on some of the sahabas. And among them is Ibn Katheer and Ibn Hajar, author of Sawaiq al-Muhriqa ....
Ibn Katheer under the commentary of verse 48;29
[48:29] "Muhammad - the messenger of GOD - and those with him are harsh and stern against the disbelievers, but kind and compassionate amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, as they seek GOD's blessings and approval. Their marks are on their faces, because of prostrating. This is the same example as in the Torah. Their example in the Gospel is like plants that grow taller and stronger, and please the farmers. He thus enrages the disbelievers. GOD promises THOSE AMONG THEM who believe, and lead a righteous life, forgiveness and a great recompense."
he says
And because of this verse Imam Malik in accordance to a narration declared that the Rawafid that hate the sahabah are kafirs. He said (they are kafirs )because they hate the sahbaha and whoever hates the sahaba is a kaffir according to this verse.
MY OWN COMMENT:
If this is true, how come Yazeed and the Nasibi (literally) narrators in Sunni books of hadith, including Sahih al-Bukhari, are NOT kaffirs?
That question is exclusively for Salafis.
So, let the author continue:
People like this don't realize that the Shia are the only ones who have a logical view of sahaba. Now lets analyze the verse:
firstly these people like to take a verse literally and then mix some of their interpretations and end up with one that contradicts the quruan
the verse begins like this
Muhammad - the messenger of GOD - and those with him
without thinking they get all excited and start dancing with joy as if they have won the world cup just because the verse says and those with him they think it means all the companions. The problem is they think if you are physically with the prophet (pbuh) you are a loyal companion, but no because this interpretation causes contradiction to other verses. Allah is referring to those companions who are always with him in carrying out the message of Allah , those who never question the prophet (pbuh) always on his side NEVER ACCUSE THE PROPHET (pbuh) OF BEING DELIRIOUS , hence Allah said in the beginning of the verse Muhammad - the messenger of GOD to highlight that if wanna know those who are loyal companions and are always with the prophet (pbuh) when he intends to spread his message see if they hold these characteristics :
are harsh and stern against the disbelievers, but kind and compassionate amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, as they seek GOD's blessings and approval. Their marks are on their faces, because of prostrating
DO ALL THE COMPANIONS HAVE THESE NOOOO WAY
lets analyze these descriptions one by one
harsh and stern against the disbelievers
The meaning of this verse is clear to be a loyal companion you must be always firm against the disbelievers and ALWAYS BE THERE PROTECTING THE PROPHET (pbuh) WHEN THEY COME TO ATTACK HIM..
WHERE ALL THE COMPANIONS HARSH AND FIRM AGAINST THE DISBELIEVERS ??? NO WAY
Allah says in verse 9:25
[9:25] Certainly Allah helped you in many battlefields and on the day of Hunain, when your great numbers made you vain, but they availed you nothing and the earth became strait to you notwithstanding its spaciousness, then you turned back retreating.
no need to comment , the companions runway from battles twice during ahud and hunain and left the prophet (pbuh) to DIE and among them being is second sunni caliph UMAR IBN ALKHATTAB ....
"The Muslims took to flight. I was also among them. Suddenly I saw Umar ibn Khattab among those who were running away. I asked him: 'What has happened?' He said: 'It is the will of Allah.'"
Sahih Bukhari Vol. 3, p. 45.
so umar is not a loyal companion .... And the verse 48;29 does not refer to companions only the loyal ones ..
but kind and compassionate amongst themselves
okay this one is a bit funny because we all know the some companions killed the hell out of each other here are some..
ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Volume 6, Book 60, Number 164:
Narrated Abu Ad-Darda:
There was a dispute between Abu Bakr and 'Umar, and Abu Bakr made Umar angry. So 'Umar left angrily. Abu Bakr followed him, requesting him to ask forgiveness (of Allah) for him, but 'Umar refused to do so and closed his door in Abu Bakr's face. So Abu Bakr went to Allah's Apostle while we were with him. Allah's Apostle said, "This friend of yours must have quarrelled (with somebody)." In the meantime 'Umar repented and felt sorry for what he had done, so he came, greeted (those who were present) and sat with the Prophet and related the story to him. Allah's Apostle became angry and Abu Bakr started saying, "O Allah's Apostle! By Allah, I was more at fault (than Umar)." Allah's Apostle said, "Are you (people) leaving for me my companion? (Abu Bakr), Are you (people) leaving for me my companion? When I said, 'O people I am sent to you all as the Apostle of Allah,' you said, 'You tell a lie.' while Abu Bakr said, 'You have spoken the truth ."
THIS IS HOW WE HAVE TO BE COMPASSIONATE SLAM THE DOOR IN OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS FACES...
okay excuse me on that its just funny , however here some companions who assisted on the killing of uthman
we read in tabaqat alkubra volume 6 for ibn sa'ad when commenting on the companion Amru ibn alhamk

"Amru son of alhamk son alkahen ........... accompanied the prophet (pbuh) lived in khuffa and fought along side imam ali (pbuh) AND WAS AMONG THOSE WHO INSTIGATED AGAINST UTHMAN AND ASSISTED IN KILLING HIM(UTHAMAN) AND THEN HE WAS KILLED BY ABD ARAHMAN IBN ALHAKAM...ETC"
we read in alisti'aab fi tameez alsahabah when commenting on abd arahman ibn udais albalawi
http://www.al-eman.com/Islamlib/viewchp.as...=170&CID=31
abd arahman ibn udais albalawi participated in hudaybiya
"abd arahman ibn udais albalawi was among those who pledged alliance to the prophet (pbuh) under the tree and abu umar said he was the commander of the army that came from Egypt to madinah and besieged uthman and killed him "
also in alkamel fi altareekh volume 2
http://www.al-eman.com/Islamlib/viewchp.as...p;CID=43&SW
abd arahman ibn udais albalawi the commander of those who instigated from Egypt to kill uthman and was among those who pledged alliance to the prophet (pbuh) under the tree
there is more see tabat alkubra for this guy
How can we regard all the companions merciful when they killed each other and fought each other in battles just like how mauyiwa la did , mauwiya was willing to kill imam ali (pbuh) just to be a khalifah in the battle of siffeen and don't forget ammar bin yasir
Volume 1, Book 8, Number 438:
Narrated 'Ikrima:
Ibn 'Abbas said to me and to his son 'Ali, "Go to Abu Sa'id and listen to what he narrates." So we went and found him in a garden looking after it. He picked up his Rida', wore it and sat down and started narrating till the topic of the construction of the mosque reached. He said, "We were carrying one adobe at a time while 'Ammar was carrying two. The Prophet saw him and started removing the dust from his body and said, "May Allah be Merciful to 'Ammar. The rebellious group will murder him. He will be inviting them (i.e. his murderers, the rebellious group) to Paradise and they will invite him to Hell-fire." 'Ammar said, "I seek refuge with Allah from affliction."
INVITING SOMEONE TO THE HELL FIRE AND KILLING HIM IS NOT MERCIFUL ITS TOTAL HATRED ...
Volume 6, Book 60, Number 370:
Narrated Abdullah bin Az-Zubair:
A group of Bani Tamim came to the Prophet (and requested him to appoint a governor for them). Abu Bakr said, "Appoint Al-Qaqa bin Mabad." Umar said, "Appoint Al-Aqra' bin Habeas." On that Abu Bakr said (to 'Umar). "You did not want but to oppose me!" 'Umar replied "I did not intend to oppose you!" So both of them argued till their voices grew loud. So the following Verse was revealed:
'O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet.' (49.2)
umar and abu bakr are not loyal companions, oppose each other and then raise voices over the prophet's (pbuh) voice where is the love and the mercy ???????
THERE IS MORE AND MORE BUT THIS IS ENOUGH
You see them bowing and prostrating, as they seek GOD's blessings and approval
now this , i will qoute a verse from the quruan saying the companions left the prophet (pbuh) praying and run to their desires
[62:11] And when they see merchandise or sport they break up for It, and leave you standing. Say: What is with Allah is better than sport and (better) than merchandise, and Allah is the best of Sustainers.
Volume 6, Book 60, Number 422:
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah:
A caravan of merchandise arrived at Medina on a Friday while we were with the Prophet All the people left (the Prophet and headed for the caravan) except twelve persons. Then Allah revealed:--
'But when they see some bargain or some amusement they disperse headlong to it.' ..(62.11)
what is wrong with some of the companions they couldn't even get the prayers right , sunnis claim this verse refers to all companions so WHY ARE ALL THESE COMPANIONS NOT PRAYING AND LEAVING THE PROPHET (pbuh) PRAYING WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WERE THEY ONLY 12 WAS WERE LEFT ..These are suppose to be stars and should be an example for us what kind of an example can i take from people who leave the prophet (pbuh) praying and chase their worldly desires ???????
And now i ask ibn katheer, imam malik, ibn hajar and all the sunnis , if shia are kafers for holding a negative view on some of the sahaba what is your opinion on the prophet of islam (pbuh) when he says there is 12 hypocrites among my companions
sahih muslim
Book 038, Number 6688:
Qais reported: I said to 'Ammar: What is your opinion about that which you have done in case (of your siding with Hadrat 'Ali)? Is it your personal opinion or something you got from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)? 'Ammar said: We have got nothing from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) which people at large did not get, but Hudhaifa told me that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) had especially told him amongst his Companion, that there would be twelve hypocrites out of whom eight would not get into Paradise, until a camel would be able to pass through the needle hole. The ulcer would be itself sufficient (to kill) eight. So far as four are concerned, I do not remember what Shu'ba said about them.
And what is their opinion on Allah swt
[9:101] "Among the Aarabs around you, there are hypocrites. Also, among the city dwellers, there are those who are accustomed to hypocrisy. You do not know them, but we know them. We will double the retribution for them, then they end up committed to a terrible retribution."
what happened to these companions when the prophet (pbuh) died
[3:144] "Muhammad was no more than a messenger like the messengers before him. Should he die or get killed, would you turn back on your heels? Anyone who turns back on his heels, does not hurt GOD in the least. GOD rewards those who are appreciative."
what will happen to these companions on the day of judgment
Sahih al-Bukhari:
Hadith: 8.578
Narrated 'Abdullah:
The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount". 'Abdullah added: The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount, and some of you will be brought in front of me till I will see them and then they will be taken away from me and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You do not know what they did after you had left.'
Hadith: 8.584 and Sahih Muslim, part 15, pp 53-54
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Some of my companions will come to me at my Lake Fount, and after I recognise them, they will then be taken away from me, whereupon I will say, 'My companions!' Then it will be said, 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you."
Hadith: 8.585
Narrated Abu Hazim from Sahl bin Sa'd:
The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor (forerunner) at the Lake-Fount, and whoever will pass by there, he will drink from it and whoever will drink from it, he will never be thirsty. There will come to me some people whom I will recognise, and they will recognise me, but a barrier will be placed between me and them." Abu Hazim added: Nu'man bin Abi 'Aiyash, on hearing me, said. "Did you hear this from Sahl?" I said, "Yes." He said, " I bear witness that I heard Abu Said al-Khudri saying the same, adding that the Prophet said: 'I will say: They are my companions. Then it will be said to me, 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you left'. I will say, 'Far removed, far removed (from mercy), those who changed after me." Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said, "On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from the true Islam)"
Hadith: 8.587
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "While I was sleeping, a group (of my followers were brought close to me), and when I recognised them, a man (an angel) came out from amongst (us) me and them, he said (to them), 'Come along.' I asked, 'Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah' I asked, 'what is wrong with them?' He said, 'They turned APOSTATE as renegades after you left.' Then behold! (Another) group (of my followers) were brought close to me, and when I recognised them, a man (an angel) came out from (me and them) he said (to them); Come along. 'I asked, "Where?' He said, 'To the (Hell) Fire, by Allah.' I asked, 'What is wrong with them?' He said, 'They turned APOSTATE as renegades after you left. So I did not see anyone of them escaping except a few who were like camels without a shepherd."
